# How do I change the app language or my country?

> Change the interface language under My language in Account settings. The content language is chosen per upload and follows your country.

## Change the app language

1. Open your profile and tap the gear icon to open **Settings**.
2. Tap **Account settings**, then **My language**.
3. Choose a language.

This changes the language of menus and buttons. Available languages include English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish, Greek, Romanian, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Hungarian, Dutch, Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, Filipino and Japanese.

## Content language

Study notes and AI answers follow the language of your country and of the content you upload. When you upload, you pick the **Content language** for that upload. To get content in a different language, change your **Country** in **Account settings**.

## Knowunity is not available in my country yet

You can still use the app with the closest available country. Sign up with the country whose school system matches yours best. We add new countries regularly.

## The AI answers in the wrong language

Tell the AI which language to use in your message, or change the app language. If flashcards or quizzes come out in the wrong language, report it through the [support form](https://knowunity.com/support) under *AI or content quality* so that we can fix it.
