# How does the referral programme work?

> Share your code with a friend who is new to Knowunity. When they enter it during sign-up, or open your link within 24 hours of signing up, you both get three days of Pro.

## What you get

When a friend signs up with your referral code, you both receive **three days of Knowunity Pro** for free.

## Share your code

1. Open your profile.
2. Tap the referral or invite option to see your code and share link.
3. Send the link or the six-character code to your friend.

## Enter a code

Codes are entered during sign-up, right after creating the account:

1. Create a new account.
2. On the **Got a referral code?** step, enter the code.
3. Confirm. Pro is activated on both accounts.

Codes are six characters, are not case-sensitive and never contain the characters 0, O, 1, I or L.

## Signed up without the code?

Open your friend's invite link on your phone within **24 hours** of creating your account, while signed in to the app. The app adds the invite and you both get the reward. After 24 hours the invite can no longer be added.

## Rules

- The code must be used by a **new** account on a device that has not used a referral code before.
- You cannot use your own code.
- An account that already has Pro gets no extra days. The friend still gets theirs.
- A code cannot be typed in after sign-up. Within 24 hours, use your friend's invite link instead.

## In the United States

Depending on the current offer, US users may receive a gift-card reward instead of Pro days. The reward can be cashed out once it reaches the minimum shown in the app.
