# My referral code did not work or the reward is missing

> Codes only work for new accounts on a device that has not used one before. You can add a friend's invite link within 24 hours of signing up. If the code was accepted, restart the app to see your Pro days.

## The code was rejected

The app shows one of these messages:

- **This referral code doesn't exist.** Check the six characters. Codes never contain 0, O, 1, I or L.
- **You can't use your own referral code.** Ask a friend for theirs.
- **This device has already used a referral code.** Each device can redeem one code. This also applies if the person who gave you the code has used this device.
- **You've already used an invite.** An account can be referred only once.
- **We couldn't check this code. Tap to try again.** The connection was too slow. Tap the message to check the code again.

## I already finished sign-up

You can still add a friend's invite within **24 hours** of creating your account:

1. Make sure you are signed in to the new account in the app.
2. Open your friend's invite link on the same phone.
3. The app adds the invite and shows **Invite accepted!**

After 24 hours the app shows **This link is for new accounts** and the invite cannot be added. A code cannot be typed in after sign-up. Use the link instead.

## The code was accepted but Pro is not showing

1. Close the app completely and open it again. If the connection dropped during sign-up, the app tries the code again when it starts.
2. Check the **Pro** tab. The reward shows as Pro with an end date three days ahead.
3. If you already had Pro from a subscription, no days are added. The reward only applies to accounts without an active plan.

## The friend I invited signed up but I got nothing

- Your friend must enter your code during sign-up, or open your invite link within 24 hours of creating their account.
- If you already have Pro, you do not receive extra days.
- Allow a few minutes and restart the app.
