Cell Types and Animal Cell Structure
You'll encounter two main types of cells in biology: eukaryotic cells (found in plants and animals) and prokaryotic cells (found in bacteria). The key difference? Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus, whilst prokaryotic cells don't.
Animal cells contain five essential parts you need to know. The nucleus acts like the cell's control centre and houses all the DNA. The cytoplasm is where chemical reactions happen, and the cell membrane controls what enters and leaves the cell.
Don't forget about the mitochondria - these are your cellular powerhouses that release energy during respiration. Finally, ribosomes are tiny structures responsible for making proteins.

Plant Cells and Bacterial Cell Features
Plant cells have everything animal cells do, plus two extra components. Chloroplasts absorb light energy for photosynthesis (that's how plants make food), and the permanent vacuole stores cell sap to help maintain the plant's structure.
Both plant and algae cells share something special - they have cell walls made of cellulose. This gives them extra support and protection that animal cells don't have.
Bacterial cells are quite different when it comes to DNA storage. Instead of having DNA enclosed in a nucleus, their genetic material floats freely as a single loop. They may also contain small rings of DNA called plasmids, which can be really useful in genetic engineering.
Remember: Prokaryotic = "pro" (before) + "karyon" (nucleus) - these cells existed before nuclei evolved!

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
