Stark contrast between how loud she was during life compared to how quite the world is for MacCaig now that she’s dead
“Welcoming me with a seagulls Voice”- Metaphor
Another connection to nature repeats idea of being loud/Difficult to understand. “Welcoming” suggest foundless/Love
“Very loud and very fast”- Repetition
Emphasises Aunt Julia is bold and memorable. Cannot ignore. Possible difficulty with understanding her.
