English Language Paper 2 tests a range of skills through its 5 questions:
Question 1 4marks:
Tests ability to identify and interpret explicit and implicit information from texts. Usually involves selecting true/false statements.
Vocabulary: Explicit information is directly stated, while implicit information requires inference.
Question 2 8marks:
Requires comparing specific aspects of the two texts, such as differences in perspectives or relationships described.
Question 3 12marks:
Focuses on language analysis of one text, asking students to examine how writers use language to achieve effects.
Example: Analyzing use of metaphors, personification, or specific word choices to create mood or convey ideas.

Involves comparing writers' perspectives and methods across both texts.
