比熱と熱容量の基本概念
君も料理をしたことがあるなら、フライパンがすぐ熱くなるのに水がなかなか温まらないことを体験したことがあるはず。この違いこそが今回学ぶ内容の核心なんだ。
**熱量(Q)**は物質の温度を上げるのに必要な熱エネルギーのことで、単位はジュール(J)を使う。**比熱(c)**は物質1gの温度を1℃上げるのに必要な熱量で、これは物質の種類によって決まっている値だよ。
一方、**熱容量(C)**はある物体全体の温度を1℃上げるのに必要な熱量で、物体の質量によって変わる。比熱は「物質そのものの性質」、熱容量は「その物体全体の性質」という違いをしっかり覚えておこう。
重要ポイント: 比熱が大きい→温まりにくく冷めにくい（水など）、比熱が小さい→温まりやすく冷めやすい（金属など）
身近な物質の比熱
実際に数字で見てみると、物質による違いがよくわかるよ。**水の比熱は4.2J/(g・℃)**で、これはめちゃくちゃ大きい値なんだ。だから水は温まりにくくて冷めにくい。
**鉄の比熱は0.45J/(g・℃)**で水の約10分の1。だからフライパンなどの調理器具に使われているんだね。アルミニウムは0.90J/(g・℃)、**銅は0.39J/(g・℃)**となっている。
油と水を同じように加熱すると、油の方が早く温度が上がるのも比熱の違いが原因。水の比熱4.2という数字は計算問題でよく使うから、覚えておくと便利だよ。
覚えておこう: 水の比熱4.2J/(g・℃)は計算問題の定番！この値を使った問題がテストによく出るよ。
熱量の計算公式
ここからが計算の核心部分。Q = mcΔTという公式は絶対に覚えよう。Qは熱量[J]、mは質量[g]、cは比熱、ΔTは温度変化[℃]を表している。
ΔT（デルタティー）は「変化後の温度 - 変化前の温度」のこと。例えば20℃から70℃に上がったら、ΔT = 70 - 20 = 50℃になる。
熱容量の公式はC = mcで、これを使うと熱量の公式はQ = CΔTとも書ける。この3つの公式の関係を理解しておけば、ほとんどの問題は解けるはず。
計算のコツ: 問題を解くときは、まず何がわかっていて何を求めるのかを整理してから公式を使おう。
計算問題の実践
200gの水を20℃から70℃に温める問題を解いてみよう。公式Q = mcΔTに値を代入すると、m = 200g、c = 4.2J/(g・℃)、ΔT = 50℃だから、Q = 200 × 4.2 × 50 = 42000Jになる。
金属塊の問題では、500gの金属を10℃上げるのに1950J必要だった場合を考える。熱容量CはQ/ΔTで求められるから、C = 1950/10 = 195J/℃。
比熱はC = mcの関係からc = C/mで計算できるので、c = 195/500 = 0.39J/(g・℃)。この値は銅の比熱に近い値だね。
注意: ΔTは「温度」ではなく「温度の変化」！20℃から70℃なら、ΔT = 50℃になることを忘れずに。
テスト対策のポイント
比熱と熱容量の違いは頻出問題。比熱は物質の種類で決まる値（1gあたり）、熱容量は物体の質量で決まる値（物体全体）という区別をしっかりつけよう。
単位も重要で、熱量Qは[J]、比熱cは、熱容量Cは。単位を見れば何の値かがわかることもあるから、必ず書く習慣をつけよう。
水の比熱が大きいという性質は、体温維持や気候の調節など身の回りの現象とも関係している。「なぜ海の近くは気温の変化が穏やかなのか」といった応用問題でも出てくるよ。
丸暗記は危険: 公式を覚えるだけでなく、それぞれの文字が何を意味しているかを正確に理解することが一番大事！
