The Statement of the Case - Key Events
This chapter does brilliant work establishing our main characters and their relationships. Mary Morstan embodies the ideal Victorian woman - modest, "dainty," and composed on the surface, though clearly troubled underneath.
Watson's attraction to Mary becomes obvious straight away, setting up the romantic subplot that'll run through the entire story. Meanwhile, Holmes shows his typical detective enthusiasm, already planning his next moves.
The chapter ends with Mary agreeing to return later so all three can meet her mysterious benefactor together. Holmes dashes off to make enquiries, leaving Watson alone with his thoughts about Mary.
Key insight: Notice how Doyle uses this chapter to establish the case whilst developing Watson's character - he's not just Holmes's sidekick, but a man capable of deep feelings and self-doubt.
The Statement of the Case - Essential Quotations

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
