Čo je biológia a prečo je dôležitá?
Biológia je veda o živote - skúma všetko, co žije okolo nás. Slovo pochádza z gréčtiny, kde "bios" znamená život a "logos" znamená veda. Jednoducho povedané, je to "veda o živote".
Táto veda ti pomôže odpovedať na otázky typu: Prečo rastliny rastú? Ako dýchajú zvieratá? Prečo sa rodia mláďatá? Biológia skúma štyri hlavné skupiny: rastliny (stromy, kvety), živočíchy (psy, vtáky, ryby), huby (hríby, plesne) a človeka.
Stretávaš sa s biológiou každý deň - keď ješ ovocie, hráš sa s domácim miláčikom alebo sa učíš o svojom tele. Je to veda, ktorá ti pomôže lepšie rozumieť prírode a sebe samému.
Tip: Biológia je praktická veda - pozoruj živý svet okolo seba a budeš rozumieť lepšie!
Sedem vlastností živých organizmov
Ako rozoznáš, čo je živé a čo nie? Živé organizmy majú sedem dôležitých vlastností, ktoré si musíš zapamätať.
Rastú (zo semienka vyrastie strom), pohybujú sa (zvieratá behajú, rastliny sa otáčajú za slnkom), dýchajú (potrebujú kyslík), jedia a pijú alebo si vyrábajú potravu (potrebujú energiu). Ďalej sa rozmnožujú (majú mláďatá), reagujú na okolie (v zime hľadajú úkryt) a sú zložené z buniek (malých stavebných jednotiek).
Ak niečo nemá všetky tieto vlastnosti, nie je to živý organizmus. Napríklad kameň nerastie, nepohybuje sa ani nedýcha - preto je neživý.
Zapamätaj si: Všetky živé veci musia mať všetkých sedem vlastností!
Praktické príklady - strom vs. kameň, mačka vs. plyšák
Najlepšie sa naučíš na konkrétnych príkladoch. Porovnajme strom a kameň.
Strom rastie, dýcha, vyrába si potravu fotosyntézou, rozmnožuje sa semenami a reaguje na svetlo. Kameň nič z toho nerobí - preto je strom živý a kameň neživý.
Mačka verzus plyšový medvedík je ďalší dobrý príklad. Mačka rastie, hýbe sa sama, dýcha, je a pije, môže mať mačiatka a reaguje na tvoje hladkanie. Plyšový medvedík je len hračka - pohne sa, len keď ho posuniem, a nemá žiadnu z tých siedmich vlastností.
Skús si: Pozri sa okolo seba a nájdi 5 živých a 5 neživých vecí. Vieš vysvetliť prečo?
Huby sú tiež živé - príklad hríba
Možno ťa prekvapí, že huby sú živé organizmy, hoci sa nehýbu ako zvieratá. Hríb (napríklad šampiňón) má všetky vlastnosti živého organizmu.
Rastie, dýcha, živí sa tým, že rozkladá iné veci, rozmnožuje sa výtrusmi (také malé "semienka") a reaguje na okolie. Je zložený z buniek, takže je určite živý.
Porovnaj si to s plastovou fľašou, ktorá nemá ani jednu z týchto vlastností. Fľaša je vyrobená človekom z neživého materiálu a navždy taká zostane.
Zaujímavosť: Huby nie sú ani rastliny, ani zvieratá - sú to úplne samostatná skupina!

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
