Animal Cell Structure
Animal cells have a basic structure that enables them to perform all necessary life functions. When viewing animal cells, scientists use both light microscopes for basic observation and transmission electron microscopes for more detailed examination.
The key structures visible in an animal cell include the nucleus (which controls cell activities), the cytoplasm , and the cell membrane (which regulates what enters and exits the cell). Mitochondria, sometimes visible under a light microscope but better seen with an electron microscope, are vital structures where energy is released during respiration.
Ribosomes are tiny structures that can only be seen using an electron microscope. These minuscule cellular components are essential for protein synthesis, creating the proteins needed for cell functions.

Comparing Animal and Plant Cells
Animal and plant cells share several common structures, but plant cells have additional specialised parts. Both contain a nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, mitochondria, and ribosomes, each with specific functions essential for survival.
The nucleus contains DNA which carries the genetic code for making enzymes and proteins needed for vital chemical reactions. The cell membrane controls what enters and exits the cell, while mitochondria contain enzymes for aerobic respiration, releasing energy from food. Ribosomes are small structures where amino acids join together to create proteins.
Plant cells differ from animal cells with three additional structures. Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll for photosynthesis, the cell wall provides strength and support, and a large permanent vacuole filled with cell sap helps maintain cell structure. Animal cells may have vacuoles too, but these are typically smaller and temporary, mainly used for storage or transport.

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
