U-Shaped Valley form! The weight of the glaciers causes them to plow downhill flowing existing V-Shaped valleys. Former unterlocking spurs may be cut off by the glacier as if flows downhill leaving truncated Spurs. and skeep valley sides. The valley sides are steepened by plucking which is where ice freezes on to rock, pulling lease recks away from the siches, making theem skeeper. The valley is deepened by abrasion which is where angular rock embeded in the ice scap the valley floor beneath. Tributary valleys have smaller less powerful glaciers which resulb in less deep V-Shaped valleys "hanging about the main valley. The width and shape of the resulting glacial through will depend on the nature of the rock type and the intensity and weight of the glacial and it ersion. Sections of the valley floor can be over deepened e.g. by diferentail erosion and can fill with water forming ribbon ир, lakes. As the glaciat i'ce moves downhill it acts like a bullelozer, pushing sediment in front of its Snout as it goes. On reaching lower altitudes and when temperature rise, the glacier mells, losing power and clepositing the maraine....

Terminal moraine marks the furthest point that the glacier reaches. Once the ice has retreated, the terminal (or end) can often form a natural dam, creating a ribbon lake. moraine Drumlins Drumlin's aure elongated hills made up of unsorted glacial deposits / till/ boulder clay. Prumlins are formed as the glacier becomes overloaded with sediment and deposits it, streamlining the sediment as it plaws over it. The steep 'stars' slope faces up-valley and the more gently sloping 'Tee' slope faces clown. -valley. If there is a small obstade on the ground, this brigger point and till boulder clay can build up around it. Drumlins may be reshaped by futher ice movements after being originally deposited. Drumlins are found in basket of eggs as a Swarms or on a topography.
