scrooge is being positive for once and spreading Christmas cheer. The word "god " is related to Christianity and Christmas is aChristian festival which displays his thoughts on the festive season.

Scrooge is greedy for money as he doesn't care about the conditions in the counting house e.g. hot/ cold. Heating and aircon costs money and scrooge isn't willing to spend his precious money on luxuries like this.
