the Danes invade and attack the Norman's being supported by some Anglo-Saxons who started with guerrilla warfare therefore not only does William decide to pay off the Danes he also comes up with the solution of the harrying of the North although this has lots of consequences

in 1070 the Danes invade again this time joined by Hereward to raid Peterborough Abbey then the Danes returned to Denmark whilst Morcar decided to help Hereward defend Ely from the Norman's however they were deleted and although Morcar was captured, Hereward managed to get away
