Translations are the simplest transformation - you're literally just sliding a shape around without changing its size or direction. Think of it like moving a piece on a board game.
Vectors are your tool for describing exactly how to move the shape. They're written as two numbers stacked on top of each other, and they work like a set of directions.
The top number tells you horizontal movement: positive means right, negative means left. The bottom number controls vertical movement: positive means up, negative means down.
Quick Tip: Remember it as "right and up are positive" - just like reading a normal graph!
Reflections create mirror images across a line. The key rule is that every point on the original shape must be exactly the same distance from the mirror line as its reflection - like looking in a bathroom mirror.
Rotations spin shapes around a fixed point. You need three crucial pieces of information: the angle of rotation (how far to turn), the centre of rotation (the point everything spins around), and the direction (clockwise or anticlockwise).
When solving rotation problems, always identify all three elements first. The centre of rotation stays perfectly still whilst everything else moves in a circular path around it.
Remember: Rotations preserve size and shape, just like all transformations - only the position changes!

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! Knowunity is the BEST app I’ve used in a minute. This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming. Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it.
