Le sous-marin et les profondeurs
Imagine un sous-marin qui plonge et remonte dans l'océan - c'est exactement comme ça que fonctionnent les nombres relatifs ! Quand le sous-marin descend, on soustrait (la profondeur devient plus négative), et quand il remonte, on additionne.
Partons de -50m de profondeur. Le sous-marin descend de 25m : -50 - 25 = -75m. Puis il remonte de 10m : -75 + 10 = -65m. Enfin, il redescend de 40m : -65 - 40 = -105m.
Règle importante : quand tu additionnes deux nombres négatifs, tu additionnes leurs valeurs absolues et tu gardes le signe négatif. Quand tu additionnes un négatif et un positif, tu soustrais le plus petit du plus grand et tu prends le signe du plus grand !
💡 Astuce : L'opposé d'un nombre, c'est juste changer son signe. L'opposé de -105 est +105 !
Les transactions bancaires
Ton compte en banque fonctionne exactement comme les nombres relatifs ! Un dépôt, c'est une addition, et un retrait, c'est une soustraction. C'est aussi simple que ça.
Commence avec -120€ (tu es dans le rouge). Tu fais un dépôt de 250€ : -120 + 250 = 130€. Puis un retrait de 80€ : 130 - 80 = 50€. Enfin, un autre dépôt de 45€ : 50 + 45 = 95€.
Pour calculer la différence entre ton solde final et initial, tu fais : 95 - (-120) = 95 + 120 = 215€. Ton compte a donc augmenté de 215€ !
💡 Rappel : Soustraire un nombre négatif, c'est comme ajouter son opposé. C'est pour ça que -(-120) devient +120 !
La droite graduée et les distances
Sur une droite graduée, calculer une distance entre deux points, c'est un jeu d'enfant avec la valeur absolue ! Tu traces ta droite, tu places le 0 au centre, les positifs à droite et les négatifs à gauche.
Place le point A à -7 et le point B à +3. Pour trouver la distance entre eux, utilise la formule : |xB - xA| = |3 - (-7)| = |3 + 7| = |10| = 10.
Maintenant, si tu veux créer une expression avec l'opposé de A et la valeur absolue de B : opposé de -7 = +7, et |3| = 3. Donc 7 + 3 = 10.
💡 Retiens bien : La distance entre deux points est toujours positive, c'est pourquoi on utilise la valeur absolue !

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming. I love it and my mom is just happy I got good grades
