Maths Spé : Résolution des Équations du Second Degré
Résolution d'équations et factorisation
Pour résoudre une équation du second degré ax² + bx + c = 0, tout dépend du discriminant Δ = b² - 4ac. C'est ton outil magique qui te dit combien de solutions tu vas trouver !
Quand Δ < 0, pas de solution réelle (la courbe ne coupe pas l'axe des x). Si Δ = 0, une seule solution : x = -b/(2a). Et quand Δ > 0, deux solutions distinctes avec les formules x₁ = /(2a) et x₂ = /(2a).
Pour la factorisation, même logique ! Si Δ < 0, impossible de factoriser. Avec Δ = 0 et une racine x₀, tu obtiens ax² + bx + c = a². Avec deux racines x₁ et x₂, c'est ax² + bx + c = a.
Astuce pratique : Les formules de Viète sont super utiles ! Pour un trinôme avec racines x₁ et x₂ : x₁ + x₂ = -b/a et x₁ × x₂ = c/a. Ça permet de vérifier tes calculs rapidement.
Tableaux de signes et interprétations graphiques
Le signe du trinôme dépend directement du discriminant et du coefficient a. C'est crucial pour résoudre les inéquations et comprendre les graphiques !
Avec deux racines distinctes (Δ > 0), le trinôme change de signe entre x₁ et x₂. Si a > 0, la parabole "sourit" : positive à l'extérieur des racines, négative entre les racines. Si a < 0, c'est l'inverse !
Les tableaux de signes suivent toujours la même règle : le trinôme a le signe de a aux extrémités, et le signe opposé entre les racines (quand elles existent). Quand Δ ≤ 0, le trinôme garde toujours le signe de a.
Méthode infaillible : Pour les graphiques, retiens que si a > 0, la parabole a ses branches vers le haut, si a < 0, vers le bas. Le nombre de points d'intersection avec l'axe des x correspond au nombre de solutions !

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! Knowunity is the BEST app I’ve used in a minute. This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming.
