Rekenen met negatieve getallen - Basis bewerkingen
Je gaat leren werken met negatieve getallen door alle belangrijke bewerkingen onder de knie te krijgen. Dit betekent dat je straks temperaturen kunt berekenen, bankrekeningen kunt bijhouden en hoogteverschillen kunt uitrekenen.
De belangrijkste doelen zijn simpel: je leert negatieve getallen herkennen, plaatsen op een getallenlijn en ermee rekenen. Ook ga je tekenregels toepassen bij vermenigvuldigen en delen.
Met deze vaardigheden kun je praktische problemen oplossen die je in het echte leven tegenkomt. Denk aan het berekenen van temperatuurverschillen of het uitrekenen hoeveel geld je nog hebt na het betalen van rekeningen.
Let op: Deze bewerkingen komen vaak terug in toetsen, dus oefen ze goed!
Wat zijn negatieve getallen?
Negatieve getallen zijn alle getallen kleiner dan nul en herken je aan het minteken (-) ervoor. Ze zijn eigenlijk heel gewoon - je ziet ze dagelijks om je heen in Nederland.
Denk bijvoorbeeld aan -5°C in een koude winter in Amsterdam, of -4 meter als hoogte van Flevoland onder zeeniveau. Ook je bankrekening kan negatief staan: €-50 betekent dat je €50 schuld hebt.
Op de getallenlijn staan negatieve getallen altijd links van nul. Hoe verder naar links, hoe kleiner het getal wordt. Dus -5 is kleiner dan -2, omdat het verder naar links staat.
Ezelsbruggetje: Stel je de getallenlijn voor als een thermometer - hoe verder omlaag (naar links), hoe kouder (kleiner) het wordt!
Optellen en aftrekken met negatieve getallen
Bij het optellen van negatieve getallen gebruik je de getallenlijn als je hulpmiddel. Naar rechts gaan betekent optellen, naar links betekent aftrekken.
Voor 3 + (-5) start je bij 3 en ga je 5 stappen naar links, wat -2 oplevert. Bij -4 + 7 start je bij -4 en ga je 7 stappen naar rechts voor het antwoord 3.
Aftrekken van een negatief getal is eigenlijk hetzelfde als optellen van het positieve getal. Twee minnen maken namelijk een plus! Dus 5 - (-3) wordt 5 + 3 = 8.
Een praktisch voorbeeld: als het -3°C is en de temperatuur stijgt met 8°C, dan bereken je -3 + 8 = 5°C.
Onthoud: Aftrekken van negatief = optellen van positief. Dit is een belangrijke regel die veel studenten vergeten!
Vermenigvuldigen en delen met negatieve getallen
De tekenregels zijn het belangrijkste onderdeel van vermenigvuldigen en delen. Deze regels bepalen of je antwoord positief of negatief wordt.
Voor vermenigvuldigen gelden deze regels: positief × positief = positief, positief × negatief = negatief, negatief × positief = negatief, en negatief × negatief = positief. Bijvoorbeeld: 4 × (-3) = -12, maar (-4) × (-3) = 12.
Bij delen gelden precies dezelfde tekenregels als bij vermenigvuldigen. Dus 12 ÷ (-3) = -4, maar (-12) ÷ (-3) = 4.
Ezelsbruggetje: Gelijke tekens geven een positief antwoord, verschillende tekens geven een negatief antwoord. Dit werkt altijd!
Bewerkingen combineren
Bij sommen met meerdere bewerkingen gebruik je de volgorde van bewerkingen: eerst haakjes, dan vermenigvuldigen en delen, daarna optellen en aftrekken.
Voor -3 + 4 × (-2) bereken je eerst 4 × (-2) = -8, dan -3 + (-8) = -11. Bij (-5 + 3) × (-4) werk je eerst de haakjes uit: (-2), dan vermenigvuldig je (-2) × (-4) = 8.
Praktische toepassingen maken het concreet: een duiker die 3 meter per minuut daalt is na 5 minuten op 5 × (-3) = -15 meter. Als de temperatuur 4 graden per uur daalt en het nu 2°C is, dan is het over 3 uur: 2 + 3 × (-4) = -10°C.
Tip: Bij praktische problemen denk je goed na wat positief en negatief betekent in de situatie!
Oefenopgaven
Deze oefenopgaven helpen je om alle bewerkingen met negatieve getallen te oefenen. Begin met de basis oefeningen zoals -7 + 4 en 6 - (-3).
De uitgebreide opgaven combineren verschillende bewerkingen, zoals (-3 + 5) × (-2) en -4 × 3 + (-6). Hier pas je de volgorde van bewerkingen toe.
Contextopgaven laten zien hoe je negatieve getallen in het echte leven gebruikt. Bijvoorbeeld: als de temperatuur -8°C is en stijgt met 12°C, wat is dan de nieuwe temperatuur?
Controleer je antwoorden altijd door de bewerkingen stap voor stap uit te voeren en de tekenregels toe te passen.
Successtip: Werk altijd stap voor stap en schrijf alle tussenstappen op. Zo maak je minder fouten!

I found this app a couple years ago and it has only gotten better since then. I really love it because it can help with written questions and photo questions. Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it. Would 100% recommend

Best app if you're in Highschool or Junior high. I have been using this app for 2 school years and it's the best, it's good if you don't have anyone to help you with school work.😋🩷🎀

This app is phenomenal down to the correct info and the various topics you can study! I greatly recommend it for people who struggle with procrastination and those who need homework help. It has been perfectly accurate for world 1 history as far as I’ve seen! Geometry too!
