Creating a Rose Haiku
Writing a haiku starts with choosing a nature topic - like roses! First, brainstorm descriptive words and count their syllables. Words like "red" (1), "luscious" (2), "thorny" (2), and "beautiful" (3) help build your poem.
Remember that haikus follow a specific structure: 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the middle line, and 5 syllables in the final line. Count carefully as you compose each line.
