What Happens to a Dream Deferred? Exploring Langston Hughes' 'Harlem'
Understanding "Harlem"
Ever had a dream that didn't come true? In "Harlem," Langston Hughes asks what happens to those delayed dreams. The poem takes us to Harlem, a neighborhood in New York City that was the center of African American culture.
This poem paints pictures with words through imagery that makes you feel what Hughes is describing. When he asks if a dream dries up "like a raisin in the sun," you can almost see and feel that shriveled grape. I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming.
