Kaj pomeni gostota poselitve?
Verjetno si že opazil, da je v mestih veliko več ljudi kot na podeželju. To razliko merimo z gostoto poselitve - to je preprosto število, ki pove, koliko ljudi živi na enem kvadratnem kilometru.
Izračunati jo je zelo enostavno! Vzameš število vseh ljudi v neki pokrajini in to deliš s površino te pokrajine. Če ima na primer neko mesto 1000 ljudi in je veliko 10 km², je gostota poselitve 100 prebivalcev na km².
Gosto poseljena območja so kraji, kjer na majhni površini živi ogromno ljudi - kot so velika mesta ali obale rek. Redko poseljena območja pa so nasprotno - tam je na veliki površini zelo malo ljudi, kot v puščavah ali visokih gorah.
Zanimivost: Ljubljana ima gostoto okoli 1000 preb./km², medtem ko imajo Julijske Alpe manj kot 10 preb./km²!
Naravni dejavniki - kaj narava določa
Narava močno vpliva na to, kje bomo ljudje živeli udobno in kje ne. Relief oziroma oblika pokrajine je super pomembna - na ravninah in v dolinah je preprosto lažje graditi hiše in ceste kot na strmih gorah.
Podnebje je še en ključni dejavnik. Predstavljaj si, da bi moral živeti v ledeni puščavi ali v vročinski Sahari! Večina ljudi raje izbere kraje z zmernim podnebjem, kjer ni ne prevroče ne premrzlo.
Voda je bila vedno življenjsko pomembna. Že od pradavnine se ljudje naseljujejo ob rekah, jezerih in morskih obalah, ker potrebujejo vodo za pitje, pranje in prevoz. Zato so območja ob velikih rekah, kot je Nil v Egiptu, še danes zelo gosto poseljena.
Ne pozabi na prst! Kjer je rodovitna zemlja, tam lahko ljudje pridelajo dovolj hrane. V Sloveniji je zato Panonska nižina z odlično prstjo veliko bolj poseljena kot kamnita kraška pokrajina.
Pomni: Naravni dejavniki so relief, podnebje, vode in prst!
Družbeni dejavniki - kaj človek ustvari
Poleg narave pa na poselitev vplivajo tudi stvari, ki jih ustvarimo ljudje sami. Gospodarstvo je največji magnet za ljudi - vsi se selimo tja, kjer je delo in denar. Industrijska mesta in turistična središča zato privabljajo množice ljudi.
Promet je prav tako mega pomemben. Kjer so dobre ceste, železnice in pristanišča, tam je življenje enostavnejše. Lažje prideš do službe, nakupov ali na izlet. Taka območja so zato bolj priljubljena za življenje.
Zgodovina in politika tudi pustita svoj pečat. Nekatera mesta so bila pomembna že pred stoletji in so zato še danes velika središča. Po drugi strani pa vojne ali nesigurnost prisilijo ljudi, da pobegnejo iz svojih domov.
Ključno: Družbeni dejavniki so gospodarstvo, promet, zgodovina in politika!
Primeri iz resničnega sveta
Tokio na Japonskem je popoln primer gosto poseljenega območja - tam živi več tisoč ljudi na kvadratnem kilometru! Ima odlične naravne pogoje (dostop do morja, ravnina), plus ogromno delovnih mest in vrhunske prometne povezave.
Na drugi strani je Sahara v Afriki skoraj prazna puščava. Tam živi manj kot ena oseba na kvadratni kilometer, ker je podnebje preveč vroče in suho ter ni skoraj nič vode.
Tudi v Sloveniji vidimo te razlike. Ljubljanska kotlina je gosto poseljena zaradi ravninske lege, dobre prsti in gospodarskih možnosti. Visokogorje Julijskih Alp pa je redko poseljeno zaradi strmine, mrzlega podnebja in težkih življenjskih pogojev.
Če bi hotel izračunati gostoto Slovenije, bi delil 2 milijona prebivalcev z 20.000 km² površine. Rezultat je 100 prebivalcev na km² - to je srednja gostota.
Za test: Znaj našteti vsaj dva primera gosto in dva redko poseljenih območij ter razloži zakaj!
Hiter pregled za učenje
Najpomembnejše je, da se zapomnisj: neenakomerna poselitev nastane zaradi kombinacije naravnih in družbenih dejavnikov. Nikoli ni kriva samo ena stvar!
Za test moraš obvladati formulo za gostoto poselitve (število prebivalcev deljeno s površino) in glavno delitev dejavnikov na naravne in družbene. Pri naravnih so ključni relief, podnebje, vode in prst, pri družbenih pa gospodarstvo in promet.
Ravnine, zmerno podnebje, dostop do vode in rodovitna prst ustvarjajo gosto poseljena območja. Nasprotno pa gore, puščave in polarni kraji ostajajo skoraj prazni.
Ne pozabi na konkretne primere - v Sloveniji je Ljubljanska kotlina gosto poseljena, alpski svet pa redko!

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!!
