Pozni srednji vek: Velike krize in družbene spremembe

Uvod v krize poznega srednjega veka
Ko si misliš, da je bil srednji vek že tako težek, pridejo še hujši časi! Pozni srednji vek je bil čas, ko se je vse podiralo naenkrat. Predstavljaj si: lakota, črna smrt, vojne in celo papež se ni mogel odločiti, kje bo živel.
Te krize niso bile naključne - vse so bile med seboj povezane. Mala ledena doba je pokvarila pridelke, kar je ljudi oslabilo pred kugo. Stoletna vojna je požrla denar in dvignila davke, kmetje pa so se uprli.
Čeprav se sliši grozno, so te krize pravzaprav pripravile pot za renesanso in novi vek. Stare strukture so se porušile, preživeli pa so dobili nove priložnosti.
Zapomni si: Pozni srednji vek = obdobje uničenja, a tudi priložnosti za spremembe!
Agrarna kriza in velika lakota
Okoli leta 1300 se je začela mala ledena doba - obdobje hladnejšega podnebja. To se sliši neverjetno, ampak sprememba temperature za samo nekaj stopinj lahko uniči celotno gospodarstvo!
Deževna in hladna poletja so uničila pridelke žita. Cene hrane so skokovito narasle, velika lakota (1315-1317) pa je pomorila množice ljudi in živine. Ljudje so jedli celo lubje in korenine.
Najhuje je bilo to, da je lakota oslabila imunski sistem. Podhranjeni ljudje so postali lahek plen za bolezni, ki so prišle kasneje. Tako je bila pripravljena "miza" za največjo katastrofo v evropski zgodovini.
Ključno: Lakota ni bila le pomanjkanje hrane - bila je prvi kamen domina, ki je sprožil vse nadaljnje krize!
Črna smrt - največja katastrofa
Črna smrt je bila pandemija kuge, ki je med leti 1347-1351 pomorila med 30% in 50% evropskega prebivalstva. Genovske trgovske ladje so bolezen prinesle iz Azije preko Krima.
Kuga se je širila po trgovskih poteh kot požar. Prenašale so jo podganske bolhe, slaba higiena pa je širjenje še pospešila. Simptomi so bili grozni - otekle bezgavke, črni madeži na koži, smrt v nekaj dneh.
Posledice so bile katastrofalne na vseh ravneh. Demografsko je to pomenilo skoraj popolno izpraznitev nekaterih območij. Gospodarsko se je zaradi pomanjkanja delovne sile začel rušiti fevdalizem - preživeli kmetje so zahtevali višje plače.
Družbeno so se pojavili bičarji, ki so se javno tepli, da bi odvrnili "božjo jezo". Jude so lažno obtoževali zastrupljanja vodnjakov in jih preganjali.
Pomembno: Kuga ni bila le bolezen - spremenila je celotno evropsko družbo in gospodarstvo!
Stoletna vojna (1337-1453)
Stoletna vojna ni bila ena vojna, ampak serija spopadov med Anglijo in Francijo. Glavni vzrok? Angleški kralji so imeli fevde v Franciji in so se počutili dovolj močne, da zahtevajo francosko krono.
Vojna je potekala v več fazah. Najprej so Angleži zmagovali s svojimi dolgimi loki pri Crécyju in Poitiersu. Nato so Francozi pod Karlom V. začeli osvajati ozemlja nazaj. Henrik V. je spet obrnil stvari v angleško korist z zmago pri Agincourtu.
Preobrat je prinesla Ivana Orleanska - kmečka deklica, ki je prepričala francoskega kralja, da ji dovoli voditi vojsko. Osvobodila je Orléans in navdihnila Francoze. Francozi so začeli uporabljati topove za obleganje in na koncu zmagali.
Vojna je imela pomembne posledice: okrepila je nacionalno zavest, pospešila propad vitezov in krepila centralno oblast kraljev.
Ključno: Stoletna vojna je bila začetek konca fevdalizma in rojstva nacionalnih držav!
Kriza Cerkve
Tudi Katoliška cerkev je doživela največjo krizo v svoji zgodovini. Najprej se je avignonsko suženjstvo (1309-1377) - papeži so se preselili v Avignon in bili pod francoskim vplivom.
Ko so se poskušali vrniti v Rim, je nastala še večja zmeda. Velika zahodna shizma (1378-1417) je pomenila, da so bili hkrati trije papeži! Evropa se je razdelila - kdo je pravi papež?
Krizo so rešili na koncilu v Konstanci, kjer so odstavili vse papeže in izvolili novega. Tam so tudi sežgali Jana Husa, češkega reformatorja, ki je kritiziral bogastvo Cerkve. To je sprožilo husitske vojne.
John Wycliffe v Angliji in Jan Hus na Češkem sta začela kritizirati Cerkev. Njune ideje so se širile in pripravljale teren za reformacijo v 16. stoletju.
Zapomni si: Cerkvena kriza ni bila le verska - bila je tudi politična, saj je oslabila eno najmočnejših institucij Evrope!
Kmečki upori in spremembe
Krize so najbolj prizadele kmete, ki so plačevali davke, a nimeli nobenih pravic. To je vodilo v množične kmečke upore po vsej Evropi.
Jacquerie v Franciji (1358) in Wat Tylerjev upor v Angliji (1381) sta bila najznamenitejša. Kmetje so zahtevali odpravo tlačanstva, nižje davke in več pravic. Čeprav so bili upori krvavo zadušeni, so dolgoročno prispevali k spremembam.
Tudi v slovenskih deželah so se dogajali upori, kot je koroški kmečki upor (1478) proti fevdalcem in turški nevarnosti.
Po kugi je bilo delovne sile premalo, zato so se plače povečale. Fevdalizem se je počasi rušil, mesta so rastla, socialna mobilnost pa se je povečala.
Pomembno: Kmečki upori so pokazali, da se stari red ruši in da tudi "mali" ljudje zahtevajo svoja pravice!
Posledice in pomen za prihodnost
Vse te krize so bile kot veriga dominojev - ena je sprožila drugo. Toda iz pepela starih struktur se je rodila nova Evropa.
Fevdalizem se je sesul, centralna oblast kraljev se je okrepila, nastale so nacionalne države. Mesta so rastla, trgovina se je povečala, nove tehnologije (topovi, tiskarna) so spreminjale svet.
Cerkev je izgubila del avtoritete, kar je pripravilo pot za reformacijo. Spremenila se je tudi miselnost - ljudje so postali bolj praktični, manj se niso zanašali le na cerkev.
Te krize so pravzaprav omogočile renesanso, reformacijo in veliki geografski odkritji. Brez njih morda ne bi bilo modernega sveta.
Ključna misel: Pozni srednji vek dokazuje, da lahko celo najhujše krize postanejo priložnost za napredek in spremembe!

The app is very easy to use and well designed. I have found everything I was looking for so far and have been able to learn a lot from the presentations! I will definitely use the app for a class assignment! And of course it also helps a lot as an inspiration.

This app is really great. There are so many study notes and help [...]. My problem subject is French, for example, and the app has so many options for help. Thanks to this app, I have improved my French. I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, I am really amazed. I just tried the app because I've seen it advertised many times and was absolutely stunned. This app is THE HELP you want for school and above all, it offers so many things, such as workouts and fact sheets, which have been VERY helpful to me personally.

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! Knowunity is the BEST app I’ve used in a minute. This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming. I love it and my mom is just happy I got good grades

The app's just great! All I have to do is enter the topic in the search bar and I get the response real fast. I don't have to watch 10 YouTube videos to understand something, so I'm saving my time. Highly recommended!

I found this app a couple years ago and it has only gotten better since then. I really love it because it can help with written questions and photo questions. Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it. Would 100% recommend

This app is phenomenal down to the correct info and the various topics you can study! I greatly recommend it for people who struggle with procrastination and those who need homework help. It has been perfectly accurate for world 1 history as far as I’ve seen! Geometry too!
