Uvod v nukleinske kisline
Verjetno se sprašuješ, zakaj bi te morale zanimati nukleinske kisline? Preprosto - te molekule so razlog, zakaj imaš očetove oči ali mamino barvo las!
Nukleinske kisline so makromolekule, ki delujejo kot računalniška koda našega telesa. Glavni dve vrsti sta DNK in RNK, ki skupaj poskrbita, da se v naših celicah dogaja prav vse, kar mora.
Nukleotid je osnovni gradnik, iz katerega so zgrajene te molekule. Vsak nukleotid ima tri dele: sladkor (pentozo), fosfatno skupino in dušikovo bazo. Think of it kot lego kocke, ki se povezujejo v dolge verige.
💡 Zanimivost: Gen je kot recept v kuharici - vsebuje natančna navodila za izdelavo ene beljakovine!
Zgradba nukleotida
Predstavljaj si nukleotid kot sandwich s tremi plastmi, ki se nikoli ne spreminjajo!
Fosfatna skupina je kot lepilo, ki drži skupaj celotno verigo nukleotidov. Zaradi nje je molekula "kislinska" - zato se imenuje nukleinska kislina.
Sladkor pentoza tvori sredino nukleotida. V DNK je to deoksiriboza, v RNK pa riboza. Glavna razlika? Deoksiriboza ima en atom kisika manj - kot da bi iz sendviča vzel list solate.
Dušikove baze so najbolj zanimiv del! Imamo pet različnih vrst: purini (večji, z dvema obročema) so adenin (A) in gvanin (G), pirimidini (manjši, z enim obročem) pa citozin (C), timin (T) in uracil (U).
⚡ Pomembno: Timin najdeš samo v DNK, uracil samo v RNK!
DNK - naš genetski arhiv
DNK je kot osebna knjižnica, kjer so shranjena vsa navodila za naše delovanje. Ima obliko dvojne vijačnice - predstavljaj si jo kot zavito lestev!
Stranici "lestve" tvorita izmenjujoča se sladkor in fosfat, prečke pa pari dušikovih baz. Te se povezujejo po točno določenem pravilu - principu komplementarnosti.
Adenin (A) se vedno veže s timinom (T) z dvema vodikovima vezema. Citozin (C) se veže z gvaninom (G) s tremi vezmi. Zapomni si: A-T (krajši imeni, manj vezi), C-G (daljši imeni, več vezi).
Glavna vloga DNK je shranjevanje genetske informacije. Zaporedje baz A, T, C, G deluje kot štiričrkovna abeceda, ki določa, katere beljakovine bo celica izdelala. Pred delitvijo celice se DNK podvoji, da vsaka nova celica dobi popoln komplet navodil.

RNK - delavni messenger
Če je DNK kot dragocen original načrta, je RNK delovna kopija, ki se uporablja za gradnjo. RNK je običajno enoverižna in krajša od DNK.
Glavne razlike od DNK: vsebuje ribozo namesto deoksiriboze, uracil (U) namesto timina (T) in je enoverižna. Uracil se komplementarno veže z adeninom, prav tako z dvema vodikovima vezema.
Poznamo tri pomembne tipe RNK: mRNA (informacijska) prepiše genetsko informacijo z DNK in jo prinese iz jedra do ribosomov. tRNA (prenašalna) prinaša ustrezne aminokisline med sintezo beljakovin. rRNA (ribosomska) je sestavni del ribosomov - "tovarn" za beljakovine.
RNK torej deluje kot posrednik med DNK in končnimi izdelki - beljakovinami. Brez nje bi bile genetske informacije ujete v jedru in neuporabne!

Primerjava in reševanje nalog
Za teste si pripravi primerjalno tabelo: DNK ima deoksiriboza/T/dvojna vijačnica/jedro, RNK ima riboza/U/enojna veriga/jedro in citoplazma.
Pri nalogah komplementarnosti sledi tem korakom: najprej določi, ali delaš z DNK ali RNK (ali je prisoten T ali U). Nato uporabi pravila vezanja - A se veže s T (v DNK) ali U (v RNK), C se vedno veže z G.
Če rešuješ prepis DNK v mRNA, ne pozabi: matrica DNK z zaporedjem 5'-ATGCCG-3' da mRNA z zaporedjem 3'-UACGGC-5'. Ključno je zamenjati T z U!
Vodikove vezi med bazami so šibkejše od kovalentnih vezi v ogrodju. To omogoča, da se DNK "odpre" med podvojevanjem in prepisovanjem, ne da bi se poškodovala.

I found this app a couple years ago and it has only gotten better since then. I really love it because it can help with written questions and photo questions. Also, it can find study guides that other people have made as well as flashcard sets and practice tests. The free version is also amazing for students who might not be able to afford it. Would 100% recommend

This app is phenomenal down to the correct info and the various topics you can study! I greatly recommend it for people who struggle with procrastination and those who need homework help. It has been perfectly accurate for world 1 history as far as I’ve seen! Geometry too!
