Fiction Texts Analysis
When reading stories, reading comprehension is your ability to understand what's happening in the text. This includes following the plot, getting to know the characters, and understanding where and when the story takes place.
Character analysis involves examining who the people in the story are and what motivates them. In plot analysis, you'll identify the main events, conflicts (problems the characters face), and how those problems get resolved. The setting includes not just where and when the story happens, but also the atmosphere or feeling of those places.
Every good story has deeper messages or lessons called themes. Authors often use symbolism - objects or actions that represent something beyond their literal meaning - to help convey these themes. Pay attention to whose voice is telling the story (narrative point of view) as this affects how information is presented to you.
Pro Tip: When analyzing fiction, ask yourself: "What is the author trying to show me beyond just the surface story?" Great readers look for literary devices like foreshadowing (hints about what will happen later) and imagery (descriptive language that creates pictures in your mind).
Non-Fiction Texts Analysis
Non-fiction texts require a different approach than stories. Your reading comprehension here focuses on understanding the main ideas, arguments, and evidence the author presents to support their points.
Every non-fiction text is written for a reason. The author's purpose might be to inform you about a topic, persuade you to believe something, entertain you, or argue a position. At the heart of most non-fiction is a central argument or main claim - the big idea the author wants you to understand or accept.
Good authors support their arguments with evidence like facts, examples, statistics, or expert opinions. As you read, notice the tone and style the author uses - is it formal or casual? Serious or humorous? These choices reveal the author's attitude toward the subject.
Remember: No author is completely neutral. Look for bias and perspective in non-fiction texts - the personal or cultural viewpoints that influence how the author presents information. Recognizing bias doesn't mean the information is wrong, but it helps you evaluate it more critically!

I think it’s very much worth it and you’ll end up using it a lot once you get the hang of it and even after looking at others notes you can still ask your Artificial intelligence buddy the question and ask to simplify it if you still don’t get it!!! Knowunity is the BEST app I’ve used in a minute. This is not an ai review or anything this is genuinely coming from a 7th grade student (I know 2011 im young) but dude this app is a 10/10 i have maintained a 3.8 gpa and have plenty of time for gaming.
