Uploading study notes and what happens after

Uploads are checked before they go public. You can edit a note while it is a draft or after it was rejected, and appeal a rejection once.

Updated October 9, 2026

Upload a study note

  1. Tap Upload in the app or the web app.
  2. Add your file or photos, a title, subject, year and the Content language.
  3. Save as draft or publish.

Review

Public uploads are reviewed before other students can see them. Status meanings:

  • Draft: only you can see it. You can still edit it.
  • In review: our team or automated checks are looking at it. This can take a few days.
  • Public: visible to everyone and searchable.
  • Rejected: it did not meet our guidelines, for example copyrighted material, personal data or content that is not study related. You can edit and resubmit it, or appeal once.

Edit an upload

An upload can be edited while it is a draft or after it was rejected. Make a public upload private first to edit it. Title and description changes go through review again.

Delete an upload

Open the upload, tap the menu and choose delete. Deleted uploads disappear from search straight away.

Earning money with uploads

Uploads do not earn money directly. Rewards are only offered through official content competitions announced in the app. Creators who make videos about Knowunity can apply to the creator programme, see How do I join the creator programme?
