Do I have to add a phone number during setup?

You can skip this step

If setup asks What’s your phone number?, you can tap Skip to carry on without adding one.

Adding your number

1. Check the country code beside the phone-number field. Tap it to choose a different country if needed.
2. Enter your phone number.
3. Tap Continue when the button becomes available.

If you cannot continue, check the country code and the number you entered. You can still use Skip to continue setup.

Not every account sees this step. Accounts with child restrictions skip it.
