If your bank offers Knowunity Pro, open your bank's Knowunity page, sign in or create a free account and enter the code from your bank. Pro activates without a payment.

How do I activate Pro through my bank?

Cancel where you bought it: the App Store, Google Play or the Paddle portal for website purchases. Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Cancel a free trial before it ends to avoid the yearly charge.

How do I cancel my Knowunity Pro subscription?

Refunds are handled by the store that charged you. Apple and Google decide on App Store and Google Play refunds; website purchases are refunded through Paddle.

How do I request a refund?

Restart the app, sign in with the account you bought with and use Restore Subscription in Settings. If that fails, send us your receipt.

I paid for Pro but it is not active

The store that charged you is the one that manages your subscription. Here is how to tell the App Store, Google Play and website purchases apart.

Where did I buy my subscription?

Most failed purchases are caused by parental controls, a store account from another country or an unsupported payment method. If a renewal payment fails, update your payment method; Pro returns once the store collects it.

My payment failed or I cannot complete the purchase

Pro is a renewing subscription. It charges again at the end of each weekly, monthly or yearly period until you cancel it. A first-year offer or a free trial turns into the full yearly price.

Why was I charged again?

Compare Free and Pro using the features and limits shown in your app. Existing Max subscribers keep their plan, but new Max subscriptions and upgrades are unavailable.

What is the difference between Free, Pro and Max?

A Pro plan belongs to one account. Existing family plans keep working, but new ones cannot be bought at the moment. Website purchases can be moved to another account by support.

Can I share my subscription or move it to another account?

No. Setup does not ask for a phone number at the moment, and you can use Knowunity without one. If you see the step, tap Skip.

Do I have to add a phone number during setup?

If the website offers notifications, choose Enable notifications and allow them in your browser. You can skip them or turn them off in site settings.

How do I manage browser notifications?

Most sign-in problems come from using a different method than at sign-up. Check whether you registered with Google, Apple, email or a username before resetting your password.

I cannot sign in to my account

If you close the app before finishing setup on a new account, Knowunity takes you back to that step. Continue the steps or tap Exit when shown. You do not need to create another account.

Why does setup reappear when I open the app?

Tap Forgot password on the login screen, enter your email and open the link we send. The new password needs at least 8 characters.

How do I reset my password?

Check spam, confirm the address is the one on the account and request a new email. Google and Apple accounts never receive a password email.

I did not receive the confirmation or password reset email

Change your email in Account & security. You normally do not need to enter your password. Some child accounts do not show the email-change option.

How do I change my email address?

Delete your account under Account & security. Cancel any subscription first. Deletion is permanent, and you can use the same email again once the deletion is complete.

How do I delete my account?

Sign out other devices from Account & security and change your password. It can take up to 30 minutes for other devices to be signed out.

Someone else may be using my account

Pro, streaks and uploads belong to one account and cannot be merged. Keep the account with your subscription and delete the other.

I have two accounts. Which one should I keep?

Knowunity uses a dark design in the app and in the web app. There is no light mode and no setting to change it at the moment. Your phone's light setting does not change it either.

Can I use Knowunity in light mode?

Change your studies in Settings under Account settings. If your year is missing, change the school type first.

How do I change my school, school type or year?

The major match quiz is no longer available in the app. You can still ask Knowie in AI chat about university majors and what studying a subject involves.

How do I find my university major match?

Some students can open Career from the AI chat menu. If it is not there, check your profile for a Career tab. Available options depend on your account.

Where can I find Career in Knowunity?

Suggest a missing school from the school picker in the app or on the website. Enter its name and city; university suggestions also need a website address.

My school is missing from the list

Edit your username, display name and bio from your profile. Usernames are 3 to 20 characters of letters and numbers.

How do I change my username or display name?

Change the interface language under My language in Account settings. The content language is chosen per upload and follows your country.

How do I change the app language or my country?

Your profile and public uploads are visible to other students. You control who can see your school and whether each upload is public.

Who can see my profile and my school?

Where referrals are available, a friend who is new to Knowunity enters your code on the sign-up screen before creating the account, or uses your invite within 24 hours. You both get three days of Pro.

How does the referral programme work?

Check the message shown and whether referral entry is available in your country. Eligible new accounts can use an invite within 24 hours. Restart the app if an accepted reward is missing.

My referral code did not work or the reward is missing

Your streak follows the school week shown in your app. Weekends and school holidays pause it. You cannot pause it yourself, and support cannot restore a lost streak.

How do streaks work?

Your leaderboard shows promotion and demotion zones. League sizes can differ. League positions do not award Pro, and Daily Quiz has been removed from the app.

Creating images in AI chat is no longer available, and there is no option to save generated images. Images created earlier stay in their conversations, where you can still open them.

Can I create and save images in AI chat?

Open timetable settings and choose Add timetable widget when shown. Follow the device instructions, then open Knowunity if the widget needs to refresh.

If Study Note appears in your AI chat, choose a topic to create an illustrated note. Some US students have this option during a test.

Hold the microphone in AI chat to record and release to send, or slide to cancel. Tap it to record hands-free. Some accounts can also send a voice message with photos or files.

Open the AI chat menu, tap Grade Appeal and photograph every page of a test your teacher has already marked. Knowie looks for marks you may have missed and suggests what to say to your teacher.

How do I use Grade Appeal to check a marked test?

Open the AI chat menu and tap Whiteboard. Ask by typing, adding a photo or using the microphone, and Knowie explains it out loud while drawing on the board. You can mute Knowie and rate the lesson when you leave.

How do I use the whiteboard in the AI chat?

Voice Recall steps in your study plan ask you to explain a topic out loud. Tap Start learning, allow microphone access and tap Tap to answer. On the website it is being tested.

How do I use Voice Recall?

Free upload allowances depend on your account and country and refill at midnight. Study plan files do not count, and Pro has no daily upload allowance. Documents can be up to 50 MB and 1,000 pages.

Limits for photos, files and messages in the AI chat

Classes keep chats, saved answers, study tools and uploads for one subject together. School accounts open them from the profile or the AI chat menu, and folders now ask you to move your content into a class.

What are classes and how do I use them?

Some accounts see memory loading or update notices and a Memory switch. These personalisation controls are being tested and do not delete your account.

Why does AI chat show memory notices?

Answer actions such as regenerate, share and save are in the three-dot menu below an AI answer. Tapping the AI chat tab again can behave differently between accounts while this is tested.

Why do the AI chat buttons look different?

Tell the AI what is wrong and ask it to rework the answer. Check important facts against your course material and report repeated problems.

Create and switch study plans, with or without an exam date. When Timetable is available, add or scan lessons, check their times and share a link with a friend.

Sign in at knowunity.com with the same account as in the app, using Google, Apple, your email or your username. Your library, AI chat and study tools stay in sync across devices.

Using Knowunity on a computer

Open the parents activation link or QR code and sign in with your child’s Knowunity account. Pro activates on that account in the app and on the website.

How do I activate Pro for my child?

The parent dashboard shows the connected child and their study activity for the last seven days. It does not show the text of their AI chats or uploaded content.

What can I see as a parent?

Ask to Buy and Family Link can block in-app purchases. Approve the purchase or buy on the website while your child is signed in.

Uploads are checked before they go public. You can edit a note while it is a draft or after it was rejected, and appeal a rejection once.

Uploading study notes and what happens after

Each upload has a Make public switch. Folders are private unless you share them. There is no single switch for the whole account.

How do I make my content private?

Report an upload from its menu, or a profile from the profile menu. Choose a reason, say why and submit. You can also block a user from their profile.

How do I report content or a user?

If your upload was rejected or your account restricted, you can appeal once in the app or through the appeal form on our website.

Apply on the creators page with your details, a social profile and a short talking video. Check WhatsApp for acceptance and email for application updates.

How do I join the creator programme?

Cash out your creator earnings from the payouts page on the website. Choose a payout method and request a payout once you reach the minimum.

## Create study tools

In AI chat, attach your notes and ask for flashcards, a quiz, a mock exam or a summary. You can request up to 100 flashcards in one generated set; a request can produce fewer cards.

Creating a quiz, flashcards or a mock exam from your profile opens AI chat. Enter your topic or attach your notes there.

## Find saved tools

Find saved items in **Classes** or your **Library**. Open **Classes** from your profile or from the AI chat menu. On the website, open **Folders**.

## Quiz help

In the app, your answer is checked when you select it. **Hint** opens help from Knowie. **Rule out** removes an incorrect option when available. On the website, select an answer and tap **Check**.

Some students see questions where you fill a gap: tap an answer, then tap **Check**. For these questions, only **Hint** and **Check** are shown. Some students also see longer explanation pages with follow-up questions. Both are being tested. You cannot opt in or out, and support cannot change them.

A quiz card in the AI chat shows your saved progress, so you can continue where you stopped. To stop vibration in a quiz, open the menu at the top of the quiz and turn off **Haptic feedback**.

## Mock exams

A mock exam from the AI chat is short unless you ask for something else, usually about 10 minutes with mostly multiple-choice questions. Ask for a length, or for a full-length exam, if you want a longer one.

To print an exam, open **More** and tap **Print exam**. The printable version has space for your name, class, date and score.

Tap **Exclude question** to leave a question out of your score. Tap **Include question** to count it again.

On the free plan, you can submit exams and see your result. The explanations are locked; follow the options shown to unlock them.

## Edit or delete

You can edit or delete a flashcard set you own. These options are not shown for another student's set, or when you open a set from a study plan.

For a mock exam, open **More**, then **Delete exam** and confirm. This option is not shown when the exam is opened from a study plan.
