The AI gave a wrong answer or answered in the wrong language

Tell the AI what is wrong and ask it to rework the answer. Check important facts against your course material and report repeated problems.

Updated October 23, 2026

Knowunity's AI is a study companion, not a replacement for your textbook or teacher. It can make mistakes, especially with calculations, dates and very specific curriculum details.

Correct the AI in the chat

  • Reply with what is wrong, for example The limiting reagent calculation is wrong, check the moles of oxygen. Ask the AI to rework the answer.
  • Ask it to show its steps so that you can check them.
  • For exam-relevant facts, compare with your course material.

Give feedback on an answer

Tap the thumbs-down control below the answer and follow the feedback options shown. You can still send a message explaining what needs correcting.

Graphs and charts

Some accounts can receive function plots, bar charts or pie charts in AI answers. Other accounts keep their usual answers. These visuals are being tested; you cannot opt in or out, and support cannot switch them on.

A graph can be wrong like any other AI answer. Check its labels, values and explanation against your task. If a graph does not display, ask for the reasoning in words and report the problem with a screenshot.

Wrong language

  • Write your message in the language you want the answer in, or say Answer in French.
  • Check your app language under Account settings, My language.
  • If flashcards or quizzes come out in the wrong language, generate them again with a clear language instruction.

Report a problem

If the AI is consistently wrong on a topic, gives inappropriate answers or keeps switching language, report it through the support form under AI or content quality. Include the question, the answer and a screenshot.

Refunds for AI quality
